 tension between rhythm and stillness\, Twilight Tap is the solo performanc
 e of Japanese artist and tap dancer Masaki Murata\, also known as @murata
 p . Murata’s practice explores how tap can become powerful\, yet restrai
 ned\, and emotionally charged. Through silence\, repetition\, and the subt
 le weight of gesture\, his performance evokes the in-between states: dusk 
 and dawn\, memory and presence\, movement and pause.\nAwarded Best Dance a
 t the 2024 Adelaide Fringe Festival\, Twilight Tap has since toured intern
 ationally and will now land in Helsinki for one intimate showing only. For

 sp\;\n\n𝘼𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙈
 𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙠𝙞 𝙈𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙖\nHe began street dancing in 
 high school. At the age of 24\, he encountered tap dance in his hometown o
 f Sendai and began training under Masaru Sato. He later moved to Tokyo to 
 study with Kazunori Kumagai. From 2006 to 2017\, he was an active member o
 f Kaz Tap Company. Since then\, he has been performing as a solo tap dance
 r.\nCurrently\, he collaborates with artists from various genres\, includi
 ng contemporary dance\, theater\, and visual arts. At the same time\, he c
 ontinues to develop solo works rooted in tap dance\, drawing inspiration f
 rom fragments of daily life.\nHe received the Award for Excellence in the 
 Solo Category at the SAI Dance Festival 2019 and has been invited multiple
  times to perform internationally through the Fukuoka Dance Fringe Festiva
 l. He is also a certified artist of the 19th “Heaven Artist” program b
 y the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.\nIn 2024\, he won the Adelaide Fringe
  Weekly Award – Best Dance at the Adelaide Fringe Festival\, and receive
 d the Best Show 2024 award at the Newcastle Fringe Festival.\n\nhttps://ww
