In August 2025, Ana Jabauri arrived to the Villa from Tbilisi, Georgia for a short stay before heading to the Artist at Risk residency. Ana is a human rights defender who has been actively engaged in monitoring and documenting human rights violations during large-scale protests in Georgia. Currently, she works with a Georgian CSO – Media Institute – as an Advocacy Officer. During her time in the Villa, Ana participated in Helsinki+50 Conference and spoke about the human rights situation in Georgia at the side event organised by the @OMCT (World Organization Against Torture) and @FIDH.
Ana’s time in Helsinki is supported by Artists at Risk, an institution at the intersection of human rights and the arts.
