Jeffrey Wolf was in residency in March 2026. He is a fiction writer from Chicago, USA, his debut book of short stories, And Even This, (forthcoming in 2028) is a linked collection following five generations of an immigrant Jewish family. At Villa Eläintarha, he worked on a story that takes place in the same world as the book, about the search to understand a mysterious distant relative—a man whom everyone remembers but nobody can describe.
For years, Jeffrey has been accumulating material for this story, and came to the Villa for the calm and space to bring it into existence.
