We welcomed back Finnish trans-disciplinary artist Kristiina Koskentola to the Villa for the second time this year, she was with us already in Spring, during the installation of her piece at the Helsinki Biennial.
Currently dividing her time between Amsterdam, Helsinki, and Northern China, Kristiina’s interdisciplinary practice engages with ecological philosophy, shamanic knowledge systems, and posthumanist discourse. Her work often combines field research, and collaborative and polyvocal methodologies. Working across various mediums, and intersecting spiritual and material ecologies, they foreground relationality between human and more-than-human worlds.
