Visual artist, curator and educator Lada Wilson has arrived to the Villa from Scotland! She is in Helsinki presenting spatial, text-based artworks questioning abstraction, structure, environment and participation, in a group exhibition Shape Shifters, on show in August 2025 at Myymälä2 gallery. Lada’s artwork is activated by a number of mini performances inviting the viewer to participate by haptically experiencing the artwork and to imagine the gallery as a communal space.
Lada is also creative director of the 201 Telephone Box Gallery – a contemporary art gallery in a red telephone box, established in 2018 @201artgallery
