Ofem Ubi joins us at the Villa from Nigeria in August 2025, as part of the @tekstintalo Text Laboratory residency programme. His residency culminates in a performance on Wednesday evening, 20th August, at @runokuu Literary Festival, at the House of Text. Ofem’s artistic practice is an interworking of poetry and visual art. As a poet and artist living and working in Nigeria, Ofem Ubi’s oeuvres highlight his interest in the subject of memory and it’s manifestation beyond the boundaries of the written word.
